Established in 2005, The Montessori Academy (TMA), formerly The Montessori Elementary & Middle School (TMEMS), is a charter school authorized by the New Mexico Public Education Commission. TMA currently serves students from Kindergarten through eighth grade from Albuquerque and the surrounding areas. TMA classes incorporate the Montessori philosophy and curriculum, with weekly Suzuki Strings and Visual Art classes.
The Montessori Elementary and Middle School received a school score of 68.5, and ESSA designation of Spotlight School. This means that TMEMS is in the top 25% of schools in New Mexico! We could not be more proud of our students, staff, parents/guardians, and all stakeholders that help TMEMS thrive!
